Metaphor vs Similes

Are they the same? Are they not?

01/

The use of comparison words such as 'like', 'as'...

SIMILES use these words.

METAPHORS don't.

SIMILE : She is fierce like a tigress.

METAPHOR : She is a tigress.

03/

Here's how it's defined.

A metaphor makes a comparison by stating that one thing is something else, but a simile states that one thing is like something else.

02/

Similes are easier to identify.

The more obvious comparison in similes makes them easier to identify as figures of speech.
